The history of computers: many inventors have contributed to the history of computers and that a computer is a complex piece of machinery made up of many parts, each of which can be considered a separate invention. 

Konrad Zuse - Z1 Computer was the first programmable computer. 

Also we have the transistors, a transistor is not a computer, but this invention has affected notably the computers’ history. 

FORTRAN Computer Programming Language was the first successful high level programming language.

Regarding video games, Spacewar has been the first computer game invented.
In present, many humans tasks have been replaced by computers's automated processes
